When the I-Series Control Center opens but shows a blank window do the following:
* Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize".
* Check if there is a message at the bottom saying that there is a problem with the Aero theme.
* Click on that message: a wizard will start up. Follow the steps on the screen.
* The problem should be solved.
This problem can also cause an issue with the Diagnostic Tool: When trying to open it, it will show the icon in the task bar, but the window will not open. This will also be solved by the above mentioned steps.
