How do I record multiple IR commands on one button, for the purpose of tuning to a 3 digit TV station (i.e., ESPN on channel 206)?

To record multiple IR commands on one button, for the purpose of tuning to a 3 digit TV station (i.e., ESPN on channel 206).

  1. Launch C5.
  2. From the C5 Quick Menu, select Advanced Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select My IR Remote Controls.
  5. If necessary, at left, select Add Remote Control.
  6. Give this control a name - i.e., Living Room TV.
  7. Select OK.
  8. At right, select Add Command.
  9. In the Namefield, enter the number 0.
  10. Select Record.
  11. Record the 0 button as per normal.
  12. Select Testto make sure it works.
  13. Select OK.
  14. Repeat steps 8 - 13 to record each of the other numbers 1 - 9.
  15. Select OK.
  16. Navigate to the desired page set where the 3 digit TV channel will be recorded.
  17. From the C5 Quick Menu, select Edit Page Set.
  18. Select the desired button.
  19. From the Buttonpull down menu, select Button Actions.
  20. Select the IRtab.
  21. Under Available actions select Send IR Command.
  22. Select Add.
  23. From the IR Remote Control drop down menu, select the desired device, i.e., Living Room TV.
  24. From the IR Command drop down menu, select the first digit number, i.e., the number 2.
  25. Select OK.
  26. Select the Miscellaneoustab.
  27. Under Available actions select Delay.
  28. Editthe Delay (seconds) to be 0.5 seconds.
  29. Select OK.
  30. Repeat steps 20 - 29 to complete the additional digits required. There is not a need to put a Delaycommand after the last digit of the channel number.
  31. Select OK.
  32. Save the page set, as per normal.
  33. From the Viewpull down menu, select Run.
