Associating IEP goals with activities
Please note this article applies only to Professional and District subscription accounts.
By associating activities with IEP goals and objectives, you can easily track the student’s progress. Associating activities will help you determine whether a student's particular goal or objective has been met.
Recommendations are automatically suggested activities from the community.
Important!! In order to see recommendations: 1) The student must have IEP goals, and 2) These goals must be associated with educational standards.
- Select Students > Student Management.
- Select the Student ID link to open the Student Profile page.
- Either:
- From the Student Profile page, select IEP Goals. Then select the Recommendations link under the goal you with which you want to associate an activity. (See the illustration below).
- OR - From the Student Profile page, select Recommendations.
- From the Student Profile page, select IEP Goals. Then select the Recommendations link under the goal you with which you want to associate an activity. (See the illustration below).
- Choose an IEP Goal from the drop-down list of the student's goals. Thumbnails of suggested activities will display.
- Select the check box(es) of the activities you want to associate with the IEP goal.
- Select the Assign Selected or Create Activity Set From Selected button.
Associating IEP Goals With Activities From Your Activity List
- Select Students > Student Management.
- Select the Student ID link to open the Student Profile page.
- From the Student Profile page, select IEP Goals.
- Select the Associate Activity button next to the IEP goal and/or objective to which you want to associate an activity.
The Associate Activity dialog will open. The dialog will display all of the activities in your Activity List.
- Scroll down your Activity List to select activities that will help the student reach his or her IEP goal or objective. You can use the drop-down menu to search through specific folders or use the text box to enter a keyword search.
- Select the check boxes next to the activities and activity sets you want to associate with the IEP goal or objective.
- Select Associate Selected to associate the activities or objectives with the goal or Associate & Assign Selected to both associate the activities and immediately assign them to the student.
