Are you supporting someone who is learning to communicate using AAC? Creating a positive communication environment is a great starting point! In this course you’ll learn specific and simple implementation tips to create a successful communication environment to support someone using AAC. You’ll learn about the necessary components to a positive communication environment and how to look for signs of success that you’ve created a supportive communication environment.

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

  • State two reasons a positive communication environment benefits AAC communicators
  • Name three components to creating a positive communication environment
  • List two observations that note communication success for those using AAC
