Descripción

In this course, you will learn that it’s never too early to start working on reading and writing skills for our AAC communicators, even if they are not yet using their AAC system independently. This course will provide a helpful starting point for supporting emergent literacy skill development while providing an overview of a comprehensive literacy plan and resources for getting started.

You will learn how to:

Describe the learning paradigm between language and literacy development.

List three components of a comprehensive literacy program for emergent learners.

State two benefits of shared reading for AAC users.

We look forward to learning with you in our live virtual session. This course provides an opportunity to earn ASHA CEU’s and will not be recorded. If you are unable to attend, check out our Learning Hubfor other learning opportunities.
